Chinatown & Thonburi Cycling Tour

Right in the heart of downtown Bangkok is where Chinatown, The District That Never Sleeps lies! You will find the streets and alleys after alleys full with street-food stalls, restaurants, and exotic markets. Chinatown is also known as a place where the forgotten temples hidden and the charm of the architecture grown. The tour gets started in the morning with exploring the always-active street market on foot before cycling through the district. Then the journey continues with a ride of the local ferry to the other side of Chao Phraya River where the surroundings are much calmer. The group will wander peacefully through the back roads of Thonburi district where we will discover the lesser-known temples, real local markets, and interesting sites. It also includes the Princess Mother Memorial Park, a well-kept secret where most of the tourists have no idea about despite its fascinating ambiance and attractions such as a small museum, historically rich and is well worth your time. Back on the trail to Santa Cruz Catholic Church, there we will see the evidence how Thai society was influenced by Portugal as it is the first European country that came in contact with Thailand in the 13th century. Then, it is a good time for a break to taste one of its kinds, the Portuguese dessert from an ancient recipe. Afterwards, we will take a ride through the old community to Wat Kalayanamit, to wander around the second largest Buddha image and the largest bell in Thailand. The ride continues to the Temple of the Dawn where it stands magnificently by the river with five towering prangs decorated by broken pieces of Chinese porcelain. Its structure reflects what believed to be the layer of heaven.
