Koh Samet is a national park located in Rayong province not far from Bangkok and Pattaya, just 7 kilometres from main land. On this island, you will find many beautiful beaches but not much of night life, bars or discotheques. There are many small shops and two 7-Eleven minimarts (at Nadan Pier and in front of Hat Sai Kaew) where you can buy things. The most popular beaches is Hat Sai Kaew which is also the centre of the island as all important facilities located in this beach; the police station, tourist information, hospital, school including the only one temple of this island “Wat Koh Samet.” You will find the place to pay fee for visiting Koh Samet in front of the national park, which is just on the way from the pier to Hat Sai Kaew. From this beach, you can reach to many other popular beaches, such as Ao Vong Duan (3 Km), Ao Prao (2.5 Km), Ao Prakarang in the south (6 Km), Ao Klew Na Nok on the east coast, Ao Wai and Ao Phai.
